Terms of Service

Welcome to 旷海滨 (Kuang Haibin) ("MangaFluent", "we", "us", or "our"), operating under the laws of China. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our AI-powered manga and manhwa translation service — upload a raw chapter and we detect, translate, erase, and re-typeset every page into English or Chinese — available at https://mangafluent.com (the "Service").

By creating an account, purchasing credits, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you: (a) are at least 18 years of age; (b) have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms; (c) agree to our Privacy Policy; and (d) are authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2.1 What We Provide

MangaFluent provides an AI-powered platform that enables users to upload raw manga or manhwa pages (images, PDF, ZIP, or CBZ) and have them translated — speech balloons are detected, the original text is erased, and the translation is typeset back onto each page in English or Simplified Chinese. The Service is a digital software-as-a-service (SaaS) product delivered via the internet.

2.2 Nature of the Service

The Service is a digital, intangible product. Upon confirmed payment, credits are granted immediately. Due to the immediate digital delivery, specific limitations apply to refunds as described in Section 7.

2.3 AI Model Dependency

Our Service utilizes third-party AI model providers including GPT-6 Luna (OpenAI) — vision translation, Gemini 3.5 Flash (Google) — fallback provider. Service performance and availability may be affected by the operational status of these providers. We will endeavor to communicate significant disruptions in a timely manner.

3.1 Account Creation

You may try the Service anonymously with a limited free credit allowance tied to your browser session, without creating an account. Purchasing credit packs requires a Google-backed account. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

3.2 Account Security

• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@mangafluent.com.
• Do not share your credentials with any third party.
• Keep your billing email address up to date.

3.3 Business Accounts

If you register on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

The Service operates on a credit-based system. Users purchase one-time credit packs: 1 credit translates one page. Credits never expire while your account remains active. For available credit packages and current pricing, please visit https://mangafluent.com.

5.1 Single Purchase Authorization

Each credit purchase is a one-time transaction. By completing a purchase, you authorize 旷海滨 (Kuang Haibin) to charge your payment method for the amount displayed at checkout. Payments are processed by our PCI-DSS certified payment processor, Waffo Pancake.

5.2 Taxes

Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Where required by law, applicable taxes will be collected at checkout.

6.1 Credits Validity

Purchased credits do not expire while your account remains in good standing. We do not reduce or expire your credit balance as a result of inactivity.

6.2 Termination of Account

If your account is terminated (by you or by us), unused credits will be retained for 30 days following termination. After this period, unused credits expire without refund unless otherwise required by applicable law.

All credit purchases are generally non-refundable after credits have been consumed. The following exceptions apply:

• Unused credits within 7 days of purchase: a full refund may be requested within 7 days of purchase if the credits have not been used.
• Duplicate charge: a full refund for any billing error resulting in a duplicate charge.
• Statutory rights (EU/UK/AU): the 14-day withdrawal right for first-time purchasers is preserved, and is waived upon first use of the Service.

To request a refund, contact support@mangafluent.com with your account email and transaction ID.

If you believe there is an error in a charge, please contact us at support@mangafluent.com before disputing with your bank. We commit to responding within 2 business days and resolving confirmed billing errors within 5 business days.

9.1 Ownership of Outputs

Subject to these Terms, translated content produced in response to your inputs ("Outputs") is owned by you, provided you hold the necessary rights to the source material you upload. You may use Outputs for any lawful purpose consistent with Section 10.

9.2 Input License

By submitting content to the Service ("Inputs"), you grant 旷海滨 (Kuang Haibin) a limited, non-exclusive license to process your Inputs solely to deliver the Service. We do not use your Inputs to train AI models without your explicit consent. Uploaded pages are stored only to run your translation and are deleted automatically within 24 hours.

9.3 Third-party AI Model Dependency

Our Service uses third-party AI model providers including GPT-6 Luna (OpenAI) — vision translation, Gemini 3.5 Flash (Google) — fallback provider. Outputs may be influenced by these providers' models. We do not guarantee specific output quality and accept no liability for outputs generated by third-party models.

9.4 Accuracy of AI Outputs

AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying Outputs before relying on them.

10.1 Permitted Uses

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms.

10.2 Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Generate content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or fraudulent.
• Generate, distribute, or facilitate deepfake content — including AI-synthesized audio, video, or images — that impersonates real individuals or is intended to deceive viewers about its origin or authenticity.
• Generate content that sexualizes minors or violates child protection laws.
• Produce malware, phishing content, or cyberattack tools.
• Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party — including uploading manga or manhwa you do not have the rights to translate.
• Circumvent or interfere with security features of the Service.
• Resell or sub-license access to the Service without prior written approval.
• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or card network rule.

10.3 AI-Specific Prohibitions

In addition to the general prohibitions above, given the AI-powered nature of the Service, you specifically agree NOT to:

• Use Service inputs, outputs, model responses, or any derivative thereof to train, fine-tune, benchmark, distil, or otherwise develop any artificial intelligence or machine learning model that competes, directly or indirectly, with the Service or 旷海滨 (Kuang Haibin)'s products.
• Systematically scrape, extract, or harvest model outputs at scale for purposes other than your own authorised use of the Service.
• Represent AI-generated outputs as the work of a human professional (e.g., a licensed translator, lawyer, or financial adviser) in contexts where such misrepresentation could cause harm.

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy at https://mangafluent.com/privacy. Payment card data is processed exclusively by our PCI-DSS certified payment processor (Waffo Pancake) and is not stored on our servers. Uploaded pages are deleted within 24 hours; account data is retained for 30 days following account deletion, then deleted.

12.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ACCURACY OF AI OUTPUTS.

12.2 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Do not rely on them for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. Always verify AI-generated content with a qualified professional before acting on it.

12.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, 旷海滨 (KUANG HAIBIN) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

These Terms remain effective while you use the Service. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, we suspect fraudulent activity, or as required by law. If we terminate for reasons other than your breach, we will provide a pro-rated refund for any unused credits. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@mangafluent.com.

These Terms are governed by the laws of China. Before initiating any formal proceedings, please contact us at support@mangafluent.com to attempt informal resolution.

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before the effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in full effect.
